Threatt Hardware Sold Me One Bolt, and It Was the Right One
Ninety seconds from the door to the correct 5/16 carriage bolt, sold by the piece, after the guy at the counter asked what it was going into.

We needed one 5/16 carriage bolt. The man at the counter asked what it was going into, then walked straight to the right drawer and handed it over in ninety seconds. It was the correct part. The shop has a wood floor, high ceilings, and the quiet focus of a place that has been doing this for a long time. The experience was exactly what a hardware store should be.
The Record
Google shows 4.9 stars from 158 reviews. The rating has held steady. The most repeated praise is for knowledgeable staff who ask what the bolt is for and for fair pricing on new hardware sold by the piece. A small number of reviews note limited selection on some items. The record matches our visit: fast, knowledgeable help that gets the right part.
