Our Visit

We paid. Visited October 2026.

We went to The Dixie Pig for lunch. The pulled pork was tender with good smoke and came with hash and rice that had the right seasoning. Sides tasted fresh rather than tired. Portions were fair without waste. The room is casual and unfussy in the way Carolina BBQ spots often are.

Service was quick and friendly. We had no trouble finding a table even at the lunch rush. Everything on the plate held together without being dry or overly sauced. It is the kind of place that delivers straightforward Carolina style BBQ without unnecessary flourishes. The tender pork, solid hash and rice, and good sides make it a dependable stop on Celanese Road.
